In addition, Edward Myers & Associates, Inc., is a committed supporter of philanthropic organizations like the AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA).

The APLA is a nonprofit organization providing the following important services to underserved communities and those who are affected by or living with HIV:

1. Healthcare services. People in need can rely on the APLA for things like primary and dental care, counseling, STD screenings, and to obtain an HIV test. Those who are living with HIV can find a medical community that will help them procure the treatments they need to live the healthiest possible life.

2. Lifestyle support services. Individuals who are living with HIV/AIDS can access food pantries, professionals to help them procure housing, case management services, and the ability to receive health care in-home.

3. Education. In addition to assisting those living with HIV/AIDS, the APLA is also interested in disseminating information to encourage prevention in the communities it most often affects. The APLA can connect individuals with groups that provide education and prevention services for people within specific demographics.

4. Research support. The APLA is committed to the fight against HIV/AIDS as well as establishing high-quality care standards for those who are hospitalized by the disease. The nonprofit conducts research projects and partners with health institutions nationwide to build capacity for programs that prevent the spread of HIV.
